Some Milan highlights

Last week I visited Milan for the Salone del Mobile, Europe's biggest furniture fair. In addition to the fair itself – which features mainly commercial companies – all around the city there are satellite events by designers and companies, showing off their latest products. I picked a few of my favourite spots from the week:

1. Patricia Urquiola designed these 'big bags' for Missoni.
2. At vintage boutique Cavalli e Nastri a designer was creating live prints.
3. Bathroom furniture company Gessi had a wacky 'experience' as part of its presentation.
4. 10 Corso Como left me completely bedazzled. One day I'll be able to shop there, one day.
5. Scholten & Baijings created a beautiful concept for MINI One.
6. Raw Colour at Dutch Invertuals allowed you to create a code which could be 'negative printed' (that's printed with bleach) onto a scarf.
7. At La Rinascente, Furla demonstrated some bag DIY.
8. You can't go to Italy and not eat gelato.
9. At Karimoku New Standard an entire apartment had been gutted to display the latest products.
